I've finished the test model for my Ork army, completed in a short time using basic colours and Army Painter quickshade. I've gone for a muted look for my scheme, but with lighter colours than usual on an Ork. A lot of Ork armies I see on the table are very, very dark, and I think this detracts from the army as a whole - but on the same hand, I don't want to have incredibly bright and clean Orks.

The Kroot are dry and varnished, with the bases yet to paint. I painted them Knarloc Green, with a Gretchin Green chest, Desert Yellow spines and a Chainmail / Snakebite Leather gun. This is how they turned out.I think they turned out quite good, Quickshade seems to works better on fleshy models than armoured models, so things like Kroot, Orks and Nids would be perfect for dipping.- Gavin

We've had another game of 2'000pts today, with Blood Angels and Tau battling it out. I controlled half the Blood Angels army, Brad controlled the other half and Sam controlled the Tau. Result was a Solid Victory for me and Brad, we managed to capture a quarter which won the game for us. It was close though. I converted this guy up from the standard Space Marine sprue, mixed with plastic Dark Angel pieces, for a laugh really.
